North Cyprus doesn`t require visa from most of the countries including; EU Citizenships, Americans, British, CIS and many other countries. Only citizens of Armenia, Syria and Nigeria needs visa application from the consulate of Turkish Republic of North Cyprus located in Turkey.
Turkish Language is used in official institutions where both Turkish and English Languages are used in the public life. Russian and German became popular after the immigrations to the Northern Cyprus especially after the pandemic
There are daily fights from all over Turkey to the Northern Cyprus ERCAN AIRPORT (ECN) all year long. Transportation time from ECN Airport to the main destinations are not more than 1 hour.
HERMES AIRPORT (LCA) and PAPHOS AIRPORT (PFO) located in the southern part of the island are also used for international flights. While the transfer time from LCA to North Cyprus takes not more than 1 hour 30 minutes where this is mo re than 2 hours from PFO Airport.
While Turkish Lira is the official currency of North Cyprus, English Sterling, Euro, USD are also convertible and commonly used in the daily activities and at the markets

There are 7 different border crossings from South to North Cyprus from different cities. The main check points are:
METEHAN (Agios Dometios – Kermia) in Nicosia
BEYARMUDU (Pyla – Pergamos) in Famagusta
DERINYA (Dherynia) in Famagusta
LOKMACI (Ledra Street – Pedestrians only)
There are local public transportation between the major cities however rent a car or private or group excursions are highly recommended for comfort and enjoyment
