Reservation Recommendations During the shoulder and winter seasons, last-minute car rentals are usually possible. However, between June and September, we strongly advise making reservations at least two weeks in advance due to high demand. Please note that during the summer high season, most rental companies apply a minimum 3-day rental policy. This requirement does not apply in the off-season. Important Cross-Border Information If you rent a car from South Cyprus and plan to cross into the North, you must purchase additional insurance at the checkpoint. The cost is approximately €25–30. Likewise, if you rent a car from North Cyprus and plan to drive into the South, you will need to purchase the same type of insurance immediately after crossing the border, at the same cost (€25–30).
